Conditions The weather was great while fishing, but a lot of recent rain had the water up in the skinny back waters. It was a challenge to find super clear water where the fish were happy. We caught a few beautiful reds and if I was halfway decent at fly fishing I could have caught many more. Highlights Water was not as clear as last year in June Fish were spooky - they would bolt as soon as you moved your rode to cast The wind was up at 15-20 mph and the conditions were more technical than last year Gallery ‹ › Notes This was the earliest fly fishing trip I’ve made in POC - likely a little too early in the year for those ideal conditions where you find many tailing pods and clear water. ...
