Overview

The White-eyed Vireo (Vireo griseus) is a small songbird known for its olive-green back, yellow sides, pale throat, and striking white eyes in adults. It commonly inhabits dense shrubs, woodland edges, and thickets across the southeastern United States. Despite its small size, the White-eyed Vireo is bold and vocal, often delivering a rapid series of sharp, varied songs while remaining hidden deep within cover.
