Overview
The Magnolia Warbler (Setophaga magnolia) is a small, brightly colored migratory songbird known for its yellow underparts, bold black streaking, gray back, and distinctive white wing patch. Males in breeding plumage display a striking black necklace and mask, while females and fall birds appear softer and more subdued. Magnolia Warblers breed in dense northern conifer forests and migrate through much of eastern North America, where they are often seen actively foraging among branches and shrubs for insects.
